Button Meadow Bears arrive........

All of the bears from Button Meadow bears have a button on their bottom (!) and a tag attached to them which shows, in a nutshell, how and when the bear was created, 

including the time of 'birth' and date.  

 Every Bear and Rabbit Helen creates is One of a Kind. All Helen's bears have a 'locline' spine for articulation, a wired armature that goes through the arms and legs, and they are bolted together.

Paw pads, face, muzzle, nose, etc are all hand needle-felted by Helen and she hand paints each pair of glass eyes, as well as hand painting and finishing off the face, hands and feet. 

  Claws are hand made and painted as well !!!

R John Wright - Christmas Bear 2012 Willoughby

This handsome fellow named Willoughby is the first issue in the new Christmas Bears series.
Made entirely of the finest custom-made golden tan mohair plush with skillful airbrush coloration, Willoughby measures 12 inches tall standing. He is fully jointed and features a hand embroidered waxed nose and mouth of dark brown cording, leather-covered black shoe-button eyes, and beige all-felt paw pads with hand embroidered claws.

Around his neck Willoughby wears a deluxe red velvet ribbon imported from Switzerland embellished with RJW green felt and tied with an old fashioned brass hawk bell imported from Germany. Willoughby is carefully based on classic Edwardian teddy bear images which feature long limbs, large feet, a pointed nose and back hump. He is by far the most traditional bear design from R. John Wright.

Willoughby will be offered during the 2012 Christmas Season in a limited edition of just 250 pieces worldwide. Each bear will come beautifully boxed with a signed and numbered certificate of authenticity and the forms for owner registration.

Ginger will be the 2012 addition to the popular series of Christmas mice and their Holiday sweets!

The sixth mouse in the collection, Ginger will measure a diminutive 3 inches tall, and will be made of the finest shaded brown mohair plush jointed at the neck and shoulders. She will have embroidered features, brown glass pupil eyes, inset whiskers, resin hands and feet, and a leather tail.

Ginger will wear a cotton pinafore apron with dainty hand embroidery. She will come accompanied by her new Christmas friend - a 3 inches tall all-felt molded gingerbread man covered with faux sugar crystals!

A built-in metal stand will provide effortless display for this charming decorative couple!

Ginger and her companion will come inside a deluxe RJW presentation box with the signed and numbered certificate of authenticity and the forms for owner registration.

Two wonderful new bears arrive from Isle Be Bears....

Romeo and Juliete

Romeo:
As his name suggest this little boy is a right charmer. Standing at 16 inches tall, he is made from a scrumptious gold coloured faux fur. I have teamed this with a gorgeous purple bow to match his unique nose, in dark brown with purple abstract design. He sports dark brown ultra suede paw pads with purple cotton to create some tootsies. A lovely purple wired bow finished his look.

Juliete:
What would Romeo be without his Juliete. Standing at 14.5 inches, she is created in a gorgeous dark purple tipped with gold faux fur. Her sweet face has been made from the same gold as used for the love of her life. I have teamed this with a lovely gold coloured ultra suded for her paw pads again stitched in purple cotton to create those wonderfuly paws. She has a matching purple nose which has been dusted in gold glitter to match the gold on her fur. She also has hand painted glass eyes to match her look. Finally finished off with that adorable purple polka dot ribbon and wooden button detailing.
